Posizione: L’Hotel Flora, affacciato sulla tranquilla Calle dei Bergamaschi, si trova a pochi passi da Calle XXII Marzo, tra Campo Santa Maria del Giglio e Campo San Moisè. Questa Calle, detta anche Via XXII Marzo, conduce direttamente ed in pochi minuti in Piazza San Marco attraverso uno degli accessi più suggestivi: l’Ala Napoleonica delle Procuratie, oggi sede del Museo Correr. Accanto all’Hotel si trova Palazzo Contarini Fasan che la tradizione identifica come dimora di Desdemona, la sfortunata eroina del dramma shakespeariano “Othello”.

L'Hotel: L’Hotel Flora è ospitato in un edificio seicentesco identificato come la possibile sede di un’antica Scuola d’Arte Pittorica diretta da un discepolo del celebre Tiziano che tanti capolavori ha lasciato nella città Lagunare. Qui, l’arte dell’ospitalità è di casa fin dal 1964, da quando, cioè, Alessandro e Diana Romanelli rilevarono la pensione Flora. Le generazioni successive hanno fatto di questo piccolo albergo un elegante hotel conservando tutto il fascino e il calore di un ambiente familiare. Questo calore si riflette infatti nell’intimità e nell’eleganza degli interni, i cui arredi sono il frutto di un gusto di famiglia.
L’Albergo, distribuito su tre piani e dotato di un comodo ascensore, è stato recentemente ristrutturato nel rispetto delle più recenti normative antincendio.

Il Giardino: L’Hotel Flora, come sembra suggerire il nome, racchiude un innaspettato gioiello: un bel giardino dove la vite americana ricopre le mura accendendosi di rosso in autunno, dove, tra giugno e settembre, le ortensie regalano sfumature di azzurro e rosa. Qui, all’ombra dell’alloro potrete fare colazione, godervi un momento di riposo o dove individuare quali meraviglie d’arte e di storia occuperanno la vostra giornata. La colazione, servita al tavolo, è completata da un piccolo buffet.

Lo staff dell’Hotel Flora è a vostra completa disposizione per qualsiasi suggerimento o necessità: suggerire un percorso, consigliare un ristorante tipico od uno dei tradizionali “bacari” per un pranzo o una cena veloce.

Le Camere: Le 44 camere dell’Hotel Flora, intime e luminose, sono state arredate con cura dalla famiglia Romanelli che le ha rese una diversa dall’altra. Mobili d’epoca della fine dell’800 o arredi in stile ‘700 veneziano creano un’eleganza discreta impreziosita dalle tappezzerie damascate e da cornici dorate. Tutte sono dotate di bagno privato, telefono diretto, cassaforte, televisore, connessione ad internet, climatizzazione o riscaldamento autonomi. Qui, la vostra notte trascorrerà serena nella quiete e nel silenzio. Su richiesta, nelle camere più spaziose è possibile l’aggiunta di un terzo letto.

Location: Hotel Flora overlooks the quiet Calle dei Bergamaschi, and is only steps from the Calle XXII Marzo, between Campo Santa Maria del Giglio and Campo San Moisè. This narrow street, also called Via XXII Marzo, leads directly to Saint Mark's Square, only minutes away, through one of the most striking approaches: the Ala Napoleonica, at the base of the Procuratie Nuove and the Procuratie Vecchie, which today houses the Museo Correr. Beside the Hotel is the Palazzo Contarini Fasan which according to tradition was the home of Desdemona, the tragic heroine of Shakepeare's drama “Othello”.

The Hotel: Hotel Flora is housed in a seventeenth-century building which has been designated as the likely location of an old School of Painting run by an acolyte of the famous painter Titian whose many masterpieces were created in Venice. Here, the art of hospitality has reigned since 1964, when Alessandro and Diana Romanelli acquired the Hotel Flora. Successive generations have transformed this little inn into an elegant hotel while preserving the charm and warmth of a family atmosphere. This warmth is reflected in the intimate and elegant interiors, whose furnishings are the result of our preference for an informal style.
The Hotel, laid out over three floors and equipped with a convenient elevator, has recently been renovated to comply with recent fire regulations.

The Garden: The Hotel Flora, as its name suggests, contains an unexpected delight: a beautiful garden where American vines cover the wall, turning to blazing red in the autumn, and between June and September the hydrangeas are a riot of blue and pink. Here, in the shade of a laurel tree, you can eat breakfast, enjoy a moment of relaxation or reflect on the treasures of art and history that you have encountered during the day. Breakfast is served to guests, and there is also a small buffet.

Rooms: Hotel Flora's 44 rooms, intimate and light-filled, have been furnished with care by the Romanelli family, each in a different style. Period furniture from the end of the 17th century, or in 16th-century Venetian style create a discreet elegance, enriched by damask tapestries and golden cornices. All rooms have private bath, in-room safe, television, internet connection, and individually controlled air- conditioning and heating. Your nights are serene in Hotel Flora's calm, silent interiors. Upon request, a third bed can be placed in the largest rooms.
