Ubicazione: Situata lungo la soleggiata fondamenta delle Zattere, baciata dal canale della Giudecca, La Calcina dista 20 minuti, a piedi o in battello, da Piazza San Marco, da Piazzale Roma, dall'Isola del Tronchetto e dalla stazione ferroviaria. Pur mantenendo lo charme e la storia del locale che accolse molti artisti famosi del secolo scorso, tra cui John Ruskin, La Calcina è stata radicalmente e accuratamente restaurata, allo scopo di offrire un'esperienza unica ai propri ospiti. L'incomparabile vista sul Canale della Giudecca rappresenta il fiore all'occhiello della Calcina. La stessa vista è fruibile anche sulla terrazza situata difronte all'hotel ed adibita a ristorante di qualità Le Camere: Le 26 camere sono tutte diverse tra di loro. Qualora foste interessati a prenotare il taxi prima del vostro arrivo, senza spese aggiuntive, possiamo comunicarvi il nome di una compagnia di taxi acquei. * Taxi di terra fino a Piazzale Roma e poi da Piazzale Roma vaporetto pubblico, numero 5.1 oppure 6 e scendere alla fermata “Zattere”, girare a destra smontando ed andare sempre dritti per circa 50 metri. Costo circa 35,00 Euro per il taxi e circa 7,00 Euro per persona per il battello pubblico. Tempo circa 50 minuti. * Autobus blu ATVO fino a Piazzale Roma e da Piazzale Roma linea 5.1 oppure 6 e scendere alla fermata “Zattere”, girare a destra smontando ed andare sempre dritti per 50 metri. Costo circa 6,00 Euro per persona per l’autobus e 7,00 Euro a testa per il battello pubblico. Tempo circa 1 ora. * Battello “ ALILAGUNA” da Aeroporto a fermata Zattere (ultima fermata). Smontare, girare a destra ed andare sempre dritto per circa 100 metri. Costo circa 13,00 Euro per persona e tempo circa 1 ora e 40 minuti.

Location: Situated on the sunny street of Zattere, with a nice overview of the Giudecca Canal, La Calcina is a twenty-minute-walk or boat ride from St. Mark’s square, Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto - auto park and from the train station. La Calcina keeps the charme and the history of the ancient house which accommodate a lot of important artists, like John Ruskin. However, all parts of the hotel have been rennovated. The wonderful view over the Giudecca canal is a must for everyone staying in Venice. This view is also available in our terrace, where we serve nice food and drinks. Rooms: Each of the 26 rooms are slightly different but they all have wooden parquet flooring, the furniture from the old inn, a bathroom, air-conditioning, television, free wi-fi, a telephone and a safe.

With number 5.1 or 6, get off at the “Zattere” stop, turn right as you disembark and go straight for about 80 meters. With number 1 or 2, get off at the “Accademia” stop, turn left as you disembark and then right into the street connecting to Zattere; then left again for about 50 meters. Number 1 and 2 are larger, so we suggest them if you have a big luggage. It costs approx. 35,00 euros for the land taxi and about 7,00 euros per person for the public boat. From the "Santa Lucia" Train Station * Directly by water taxi. It costs approx. 70,00 euros and it takes about 15 minutes. * By the public water bus number 5.1. Get off at the “Zattere” stop.Turn right as you disembark and go straight for 100 meters. It costs approx. 7,00 euros per person and it takes about 20 minutes. * By the public water bus number 2. Get off at the “Accademia” stop. Go straight and than turn left. It costs 7,00 Euros per person and it takes about 30 minutes. From the parking garage of Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal. The Piazzale Roma parking garage is the closest parking place to Venice, but finding a free space can be difficult at times. The price to leave your car there is about 25 Euros per day. Since the vehicle must be left open with keys inside, we strongly advise you to not leave any valuables in your car. Once you are in Piazzale Roma, you can reach our hotel: * Directly by water taxi: the cost is approx. 65,00 euros and it takes about 10 minutes. * By a public water bus, the number 5.1 or 6. Get off at the "Zattere" stop.Turn right as you disembark and go straight for 100 meters. The cost is about 6,50 Euros per person and it takes about 20 minutes. From the Tronchetto parking garage The Tronchetto garage is the only one indicated on signs as you approach Venice by car. It is located a little farther away from Venice but free spaces are easier to find. The cost to leave your car there is about 20 euros per day. Since the vehicle must be left open with the keys inside, we strongly advise you to not leave any valuables in your car. Once you are at the Tronchetto, you can reach our hotel: * Directly by water taxi: the cost is approx. 70 euros and it takes about 20 minutes. * By a public water bus, the number 2. Get off at the "Zattere" stop. The costs is about 6,50 Euros per person and it takes about 30 minutes. From the Mestre car parking You can leave your car at the car parking in front of the railway station in Mestre (which is the town before arriving in Venice, in the mainland). The fare is around 5 Euro for 24 hours. Once you are in Mestre, you can take a train or a land bus to reach Venice. It takes about 10 minutes and the ticket per person is around 2 Euro. From the Fusina car parking You can leave your car at the car parking of Fusina, which is also a place in the mainland near Mestre, in direction to Chioggia. The cost should be around 6,00 euros. Once you are in Fusina, you can take the public waterbus of the company "Alilaguna", taking care that it stops at the "Zattere". The cost of the waterbus is around 10,00 euros. This line has few trips per day, there actually 2 boats in the morning and 2 boats in the late afternoon. From the "Port of Venice" * Directly by water taxi. It costs approx. 85,00 Euros and it takes about 10 minutes. * By a shuttle bus to Piazzale Roma (which is the bus terminal) and then from Piazzale Roma to the hotel by a public water bus, the number 5.1 or 6. Get off at the "Zattere" stop, turn right as you disembark and go straight for about 80 meters. It costs approx. 7,00 euros per person for the public boat. It takes approx. 30 minutes in total. * if your cruise lands at San Basilio, you could also take a public water bus, the number 2 or 6, from the "San Basilio" waterbus stop. Then get off at the Zattere stop, turn right as you disembark and go straight for about 80 meters. It takes about 10 minutes, it costs 7,00 euros per person for the waterbus. Alternatively you could also walk, but it takes about 25 minutes and there is a bridge to cross. From the "Canova" Treviso Airport The easiest and cheapest way to get in Venice is to use the ATVO Eurobus service. Bus times coincide with the Ryanair arrivals and departures, and the fare is much cheaper than a private taxi: only 10,00 euros one-way. Purchase your ticket at the ATVO counter in the airport and stamp it in the ticket-validation machine on the bus. (If you need a ticket from Venice to Treviso Airport, go to the ATVO ticket office in Piazzale Roma). You'll need to allow 1 hour 10 minutes for the bus trip, including two brief stops in Venice-Mestre, a suburb on the mainland. After pausing in Mestre, the bus crosses the causeway to Venice. The end of the line is in Piazzale Roma, the bus terminal of the town. Once you are in Piazzale Roma, you can reach our hotel: Directly by water taxi: the cost is approx. 65,00 euros and it takes about 10 minutes. By a public water bus, the number 5.1 or 6.
