L'Hotel: Il Palazzo che ospita l'Hotel Scandinavia è di origini antichissime. L'edificio risale all'anno 1000 e si narra che proprio in questo luogo Desdemona conobbe Othello, il "Moro di Venezia".
Il Palazzo venne ristrutturato nel XVI secolo dalla famiglia Trevisan, ricchissima dinastia di mercanti, che ne fece la sua residenza per generazioni.
Negli anni '50, la famiglia Tinacci trasformò il palazzo nell'Hotel Scandinavia, riuscendo a mantenere intatta l'atmosfera di antica residenza veneziana tramandata attraverso i secoli. Il risultato è uno degli Hotel di Venezia che rispecchia di più lo spirito che si respirava nelle nobili dimore veneziane.

Dalle finestre dell'Hotel si gode una vista stupenda: a sinistra dell'edificio sorge la Chiesa di Santa Maria Formosa il cui nome è legato ad un'antica leggenda. Si narra che proprio in questo Campo ci fu l'apparizione di una Madonna piuttosto prosperosa e, per celebrare questo miracolo, nel 1492 venne edificata una chiesa che prese il nome di Santa Maria Formosa.
