Il Contesto: Casole d'Elsa: Nel delizioso borgo trecentesco di Casole d'Elsa, piccola gemma della campagna Toscana, sorge la Residenza d'Epoca "Torre dei Serviti", prima convento nella seconda metà del '400, in seguito dipendenza del Seminario vescovile di Volterra.
Casole d'Elsa è un bellissimo paese medievale facilmente raggiungibile dai più affascinanti e rinomati angoli di Toscana. (Siena a 25 km. - San.Gimignano a 30 km. - Volterra a 20 km. - Firenze a 45 km.).
Il connubio di una vita rilassata in un contesto così amabile e la vicinanza con i maggiori centri storico- culturali della Provincia di Siena, rende il soggiorno alla Torre dei Serviti un'esperienza veramente particolare, originale e senz'altro indimenticabile.
La Torre dei Serviti deriva molta parte del suo fascino dall'essere inserita in un contesto storico-paesaggistico di altissimo valore; il borgo di Casole d'Elsa preserva tutt'oggi caratteri trecenteschi che si sposano perfettamente con i restauri, le modernizzazioni e lo splendore della natura circostante. La ristrutturazione della Torre dei Serviti ha posto l'accento sul rispetto massimo delle caratteristiche medievali sia della struttura architettonica che degli arredi interni, cercando di potenziare tali caratteristiche ed evidenziandole con accorgimenti di originalità, sobrietà e calore.
Le finestre delle varie stanze incorniciano scorci di paesaggio tipico della Toscana centrale. Da alcune si possono osservare i profili in lontananza di San Gimignano e Volterra. Alcune viste sono veri e propri quadri di pittura figurativa del territorio intorno a Casole.
Le Camere: La struttura della Residenza d'epoca è costituita da 6 camere su quattro livelli diversi:
"La Stanza di Francesco di Giorgio" - anch'essa di caratteristiche austere ed in linea con lo stesso di Giorgio, pittore, scultore ed architetto senese a cui è attribuito il progetto delle torri
"La Stanza di Fra Leonardo da Casole" - dedicata a Leonardo Morelli, frate, compositore ed architetto, presenta un arredo importante e severo
"La Stanza degli Affreschi" - così definita per i resti di affreschi che sono stati trovati durante i lavori di restauro, presenta un arredo raffinato, di pregio
"La Stanza nella Torre" - questa è senz'altro la stanza più caratteristica e particolare, perfettamente tonda con una cupola semisferica con decorazioni fine ottocento. L'arredo è minimo, sobrio
"La Stanza di Francesco Bianciardi" - è su più piani, caratterizzata da più finestre e da un arredo lineare
"La Stanza dell'Ape" - è la stanza più "semplice" della residenza, rustica, di sapore prettamente toscano
Il Mezzanino: A Maddalena Casulana, musicista e compositrice di madrigali, è dedicato il piccolo appartamento che si apre a livello della via Aringhieri, a pochi passi dall'ex Asilo Bargagli (già parte della chiesa dei padri Servi di Maria), oggi "polo musicale" della cittadina di Casole.
Il soffitto basso e il grande arco ricordano l'antico forno per il pane che questi ambienti ospitavano al tempo dei frati, il focolare e l'acquaio in mattoni la cucina della piccola casa che diventarono molto dopo.
Il pavimento in cocciopesto è stato realizzato, nel corso dei restauri, secondo la tecnica tradizionale utilizzata per gli impianti termali romani.
Il Ristorante: La prima colazione è a buffet e prevede un'ampia scelta di prodotti locali.
Il ristorante è su prenotazione, solo per la cena e a menu giornaliero fisso, composto da antipasto, primo, secondo, due contorni di stagione e dessert; cambia ogni giorno per l'intera settimana.
La cucina propone piatti della tradizione tipicamente toscana e mediterranea. Buona scelta di vini locali pregiati.
I Locali Comuni:
Il corridoio al secondo livello è il lato corto del chiostro dell'ex convento, la cui fisionomia originale è stata in parte recuperata evidenziando col restauro il colonnato che un tempo si affacciava sul cortile interno. Le colonne ottagonali in laterizio presentano lacerti di intonaco decorati a fasce bianche e nere. Il pavimento in travertino chiaro accompagna la luce ritrovata aprendo l'arco di fondo che era stato tamponato Nella saletta di lettura il camino riproduce la sagoma dell'architrave della chiesa del convento e lo stemma dell'Ordine Proseguendo si trova un piccolo bar ricavato in un'altra stanza addossata alle mura, su cui si conserva un'archibugiera quattrocentesca, e una terrazza sul fianco della torre, osservatorio ideale del panorama circostante Ampia area esterna con piscina
Enogastronomia: La Residenza d'epoca Torre dei Serviti organizza degustazioni ed eventi enogastronomici in collaborazione con Marco MUCCIARELLI, ambasciatore del vino e della cucina del Chianti.

The context: Casole d'Elsa: In the delicious village of Casole d'Elsa of the 300'century, small gem of Tuscany countryside, lies Residenza d'Epoca "Torre ddei Serviti", which was formerly a convent in the second half of the 400's, later the dependency of the Episcopal seminary of Volterra.
Casole d'Elsa is a medieval beautiful village, easy reachable from the more fascinating and famous angles of Tuscany. (Siena to 25km, Florence to 45 km).
The harmony between a relaxing life led in a lovely context and the closeness to the main historical and cultural centres of the province of Siena makes the staying in Torre dei Serviti a truly particular, original and unforgettable experience. The main reason of the fashion of Torre dei Serviti is due to its introduction in an historical and landscaped context of highest value. The village of Casole d'Elsa preserves nowadays features typical of 300's, which perfectly combine with the restorations, the modernisations and the splendour of the surrounding nature. The restoration of Torre dei Serviti stresses the extreme respect of medieval characteristics as well as the architectonic structure and its inner furnishings, trying to develop such characteristics and underline them with originality, sobriety and heat.
The windows of several rooms frame views of typical landscape of Tuscany. From some of them we can observe the distance profiles of San Gimignano and Volterra. These sights are a sort of "figurative paintings pictures" of the territory around Casole.
The Rooms: The structure of the Residence is made up of 6 rooms placed on four different levels:
"La Stanza di Francesco di Giorgio" - austere features according the character of the painter, sienese sculptor and architect Giorgio, to whom is attributed the plan of the towers
"La Stanza di Fra Leonardo da Casole" - dedicated to Leonardo Morelli, monk, composer and architect, it presents an important and strict furnishings
"La Stanza degli Affreschi" - so defined thanks to the rests of frescoes found during the restoration jobs, presents refined valuable furnishings
"La Stanza nella Torre" - This is the most characteristic and particular room of the accommodation, perfectly round with one semi-spherical dome with fine decoration of the end of 800's. The furnishings is minimal, simple
"La Stanza di Francesco Bianciardi" - is on different levels, characterized by numerous windows and linear furnishings
"La Stanza dell'Ape" - it is the "most simple" room of the residence, rustic, according to Tuscany style
The Mezzanine: To Maddalena Casulana, musician and composer of madrigal is dedicated the small apartment, which is opened to level of Aringhieri street, nearby the former Bargagli Kindergarten (part already of the church of Fathers Servants of Maria), nowadays "musical pole" for the citizens of Casole.
The low ceiling and the great arch remember the ancient bread oven, as it was during the monks' time to became later the hearth, the brick sink and the kitchen of the small house.
The pavement in "cocciopesto" has been realized during the restorations according to the traditional technique of roman thermal systems.
The Restaurant: The buffet breakfast offers a wide choice of typical products.
The restaurant will have to be booked and only for dinner.
The daily menu is fixed and composed of starter, first course, second course, 2 vegetables and dessert; it will change every day for the whole week. The kitchen offers typical Tuscany and Mediterranean cooking. Good valuable local wide choice.
At lunch is possible to reserve cold plates.
The Shared Areas:
The corridor at the second floor is the short side of the cloister of the former convent, whose first appearance has been partially recovered during the restoration of the colonnade, which overlooked the inner courtyard. The octagonal brick columns present plasters decorated with black and white bands. The light travertine pavement accompanies that light found opening the bottom arch, which has been plugged In the reading room the fireplace reproduces the shape of the architrave of the convent and the coat of arms of the order Proceeding in our discovering tour we find a small bar - obtained in an other room leaned to walls, on which has been found an harquebusier of the 400's and one terrace in the flank of the tower, ideal observatory of the surrounding panorama Wide external area with swimming pool
