La Storia: L'albergo Gatto Bianco fu costruito negli anni '50 dai fratelli Esposito, discendenti di Teresa di Tragara, la prima locandiera di Capri. Il suo nome è legato ad un bel gatto bianco ritrovato nel limoneto adiacente quando i lavori di costruzione ebbero inizio e che poi divenne la mascotte dell'albergo. Negli anni cinquanta il ristorante fu il punto di ritrovo di tanti ospiti illustri e stravaganti dell'isola. Il Re Farouk, Soraya, Clark Gable, Sofia Loren, Onassis e Jacqueline Kennedy trascossero magiche notti sotto il verde del suo pergolato. History: The Hotel Gatto Bianco was built in the 1950's by the Esposito brothers, descendants of Teresa di Tragara, the first accomodator to visitors in Capri. Its name comes from a pretty, white cat that was found in a nearby lemon grove while the hotel was in construction. It eventually became the hotel mascot. In the 1950's its restaurant was the meeting place for the island's rich and famous. King Farouk, Soraya, Clark Gable, Sofia Loren, Onassis and Jacqueline Kennedy spent magical nights under the green of the pergola. Today, while conserving the atmosphere of a time since passed, the Gatto Bianco offers its guests a room, space and an atmosphere with every modern comfort..
