Ubicazione: In uno dei punti piu' panoramici di Sorrento arroccato su uno sperone di roccia dove un tempo esisteva una "Tonnara".

La Tonnarella e' un'oasi di tranquillita' e di pace per tutti coloro che desiderano assaporare un piccolo angolo di paradiso.


Storia: L'Hotel prende il nome dalla tipica rete per la pesca delle specie piu' piccole della famiglia dei tonni, denominata per l'appunto "Tonnarella". La rete in questione, differisce dalla "Tonnara" vera e propria, perche' a differenza di questa, prevede solo tre camere ed in particolare e' sprovvista della camera della morte o "Mattanza",dato che "Sgombri", "Palmiti" e "Tonnacchielle" si pescano vivi. La rete e' tutt'oggi ancora in uso nei mesi autunnali, quando avviene il passaggio dei piccoli tonni. Sul ciglio della scarpata esisteva una piccola torre denominata " Guardiola", oggi trasformata in belvedere, usata anticamente per il controllo delle reti della "Tonnarella ". E' possibile raggiungere il belvedere tramite un vialetto che partendo dal terrazzo dell'hotel, si snoda sulla camite un vialetto che partendo dal terrazzo dell'hotel, si snoda sulla cresta della montagna.


L'Albergo: La Tonnarella nata come villa per la residenza estiva della famiglia Gargiulo, si e' trasformata nel corso degli anni in albergo, mantenendo inalterato il fascino degli arredi antichi, delle ceramiche e delle architetture che intrecciano cornici di tufo sullo sfondo di un mare blu.


Le Camere: Quasi tutte camere godono di una splendida veduta del golfo e della baia di Sorrento.

Alcune hanno ampie terrazze o balconi, altre vasca idromassaggio e sono arredate in stile antico.


Il Ristorante: Il rinomato ristorante con la sala ed ampio terrazzo sul mare sara' a vostra disposizione perche' possiate gustare le ricercate pietanze della Terra delle Sirene :Scialatielli Gamberi e Zucchine, Tagliatelle Asparagi e Scampi, Risotto Gamberi e Finocchietti, Orata agli Agrumi Sorrentini, Gamberetti in Foglie di Limone, Calamaretti al Gratin, Delizie al Limone.

Il sapore del mare e degli agrumi mescolato al profumo dei fiori che colorano la sala, le terrazze e i giardini.


Spiaggia: L'Hotel dispone anche di una piccola spiaggia privata attrezzata, dotata di ascensore privato direttamente collegato con l'albergo.

Celata tra le rocce, come la perla in una conchiglia, la spiaggietta della Tonnarella e' un anfratto incantato e sconosciuto, un esplosione di colori e profumi.

Il viola ed il giallo dei fiori che si stagliano sul blu del cielo e del mare. E' inoltre possibile pranzare immersi nella natura ad un passo dal mare.

History: The Hotel takes its name from the typical net used for fishing the smallest species of the tunas family.

The net was called "Tonnarella".
The net is nowadays still in use in the autumnal months. On the mountain edge existed one small tower called "Guardiola", today transformed in lookout, used anciently for the control of the nets of the "Tonnarella".


The Hotel: "La Tonnarella" started out as a residential summer villa belonging to the Gargiulo family. Still keeping its fascinating atmosphere with antique furnishing and ceramic tiles plus the interesting architectural style of interwoven tufa stone cornices, " La Tonnarella" has been transformed into a delightful hotel with a backdrop of blue sea.


Restaurant: The renowned restaurant has got one big dining-room and a wide terrace on the sea tha you can use to relish the refined and typical sirene land's dish as : Scialatielli with Lobsters, Risotto with lobster's and finocchietti, Orata with Sorrento's citrus fruits, shrimps in lemon leaf, calamari au gratin, lemon cake.

The taste of the sea and the citruses mixed to the scent of the flowers that color rooms, the terraces and the garden.


The Beach: The hotel has a small private beach with facilities.

Hidden among the rocks like a pearl in its shell, " La Tonnarella " beach is a magical and little known ravine- an explosion of colours and perfumes.
