Location: Hotel Poggio del Sole (Hotel of the Sunny Hill) is a cosy, charming, family-owned and operated hotel at the foot of Mount Epomeo on the beautiful Italian island of Ischia.
The hotel is perfectly positioned for quiet and peaceful afternoons spent gazing at the panorama of lush greenery, dramatic cliffs and sparkling blue waters and is walking distance from both the center of Forio and the sea.
Rooms: All rooms feature a private and complete bath with hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, personal safe, minibar , heating and air conditioning. Each room boasts either a balcony or terrace with unobstructed views of the Mediterranean sea.

A full bar is always available, as is a widescreen TV and lounge perfect for those can't be missed futbol matches. Private parking is available for those with cars, otherwise rides in the hotel's minibus may be arranged.
Restaurant: Whether you prefer a fresh and healthy finish to a big day, or a full-blown Italian feast, Mamma Colella's delicious cooking will delight you. Each day Tina Colella cooks up the best in Ischian and southern Italian cuisine using the freshest ingredients from the morning's markets. Any given night you may delighted to discover your plate filled with spaghetti doused in homemade tomato sauce, spinach-stuffed ravioli in sage butter, baked zucchini florets, grilled eggplant slices, seared swordfish steaks or fresh mussels drenched in wine…the possibilities are endless. Add all the wine you can guzzle and a spot of homemade tiramisu or melon liqueur and you’ll have experienced what most guests profess to be the best meal of their vacation. The Restaurant at Poggio del Sole is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast begins at 8:30AM , lunch at 12:30PM , dinner at 7:30PM ; all meals are served until the last customer is pleasantly stuffed and ready to retire. As this is a true family restaurant, casual dress is appropriate, kids are welcome, and reservations are not necessary. Half board at Poggio del Sole includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. And of course, as this is your vacation, happy hour is every hour. After all of your feasting, don't forget to ask about purchasing a bottle or two of some of the hotel's homemade liqueurs to take home to friends and family. We offer lemon, strawberry, melon, liquorice, arugula (rocket), basil, walnut, or coffee flavors.
