Storia:
Presso il Colosseo furono costruite ai tempi dell'Antica
Roma quattro caserme gladiatorie, delle quali nel 1937 sono
stati rinvenuti, tra Via Labicana e Via San Giovanni in
Laterano, i resti della maggiore e cioè il
cosiddetto 'Ludus Magnus'. A ridosso di questo antico
insediamento giè nel 1500 sorgeva il 'Casino Guidi',
rifugio di caccia dei giardini Guidi. La storica struttura
è stata trasformata in un piccolo ma raffinato albergo da
dove gli ospiti potranno ammirare le monumentali bellezze
della Roma Imperiale.

American Bar:
In un ambiente classico che richiama i toni e i colori
della antica Roma, si trova il nostro American Bar interno
con vista sul Colosseo e sul Colle Oppio dove si trova la
celebre Domus Aurea, casa dell’imperatore Nerone.
Ogni sera fino alle 24.00 il nostro barman vi aspetta per
farvi degustare dei meravigliosi Cocktail e presentarvi la
nostra carta del light-dinner.

History: In
Ancient Rome, four barracks for gladiators were built near
the Colosseum. In 1937, the ruins of the most important,
the so-called Ludus Magnus, were discovered between Via
Labicana and Via San Giovanni in Laterano. As early as 1500
the Casino Guidi, a hunting lodge in the Guidi Gardens,
stood near this ancient settlement.
The historical building was transformed into a small but
stately hotel from where guests can admire the beautiful
monuments of Imperial Rome.
