Così Turi Ferro, illustre attore catanese, descrisse la
località di Sant’Agata Li Battiati, dove è ubicato questo
Bed & Breakfast della Sicilia, ammirando profondamente le
bellezze naturali di questo borgo, già nel secolo scorso
luogo privilegiato da nobili.
Testimonianza di ciò è il ricco patrimonio di dimore
storiche in uno straordinario paesaggio per la sua
collocazione strategica tra il mare ed il Vulcano Etna. La
cittadina oggi rappresenta un raffinato centro
residenziale alla periferia di Catania a circa 230 metri
sul livello del mare.
Camere: Ramo
Fiorito è una villa anni ’70, con camere sull'Etna,
dall’aspetto tipicamente mediterraneo, rivestimenti
esterni in bianco, balconi fioriti, il tutto circondato da
un verde giardino.
Un intero piano è riservato agli ospiti e le camere sono
tutte con bagno privato, TV ed aria
condizionata.
Colazione:
La colazione, oltre quella continentale, prevede
specialità tipiche siciliane.
Servizi: I
padroni di casa, entrambi medici, hanno l'hobby della
vela, possiedono una barca a vela di 12 metri ormeggiata
al Porto di Catania. Su richiesta gli ospiti possono
trascorrere giornate indimenticabili a bordo, alla
scoperta della costa ionica.
Esperti di buona cucina possono consigliare ed organizzare
cene in noti ristoranti con menù a base di pesce o
trattorie tipiche dei paesini etnei dove è possibile
gustare carni di coniglio, maiale e funghi.
I bambini sotto i due anni sono ospitati gratuitamente. È
possibile, su richiesta, prelevare gli ospiti che giungono
a Catania dal porto, aeroporto e stazione ferroviaria. Si
forniscono informazioni turistiche riguardanti mezzi di
trasporto, teatri, musei, spettacoli, rappresentazioni
locali, pub, wine bar, ritrovi e tutto quello che è tipico
della città.
Guide e percorsi alla scoperta del centro storico di
Catania, della pescheria, della Casa dei Verga , dell'
Anfiteatro Romano , delle fiere di Antiquariato , dei
ricami siciliani , delle ceramiche e della indimenticabile
Catania "by night" . Con mezzi di proprietà dei padroni di
casa si può visitare quel vero e proprio "museo
all'aperto" che è tutta la Sicilia (Siracusa, Taormina,
Noto, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Agrigento, Morgantina,
ecc) ed escursioni sull' Etna con degustazione di vini in
aziende di prestigio.

Location:
Ramo Fiorito, ‘flowered branch’ is how the famous actor
from Catania Turi Ferro described Sant’Agata Li Battiati,
the town where our B&B is located, while admiring its
natural beauties.
A favourite place for noble people in the last century, as
can be seen by the many historical houses scattered in
this incredible landscape between the sea and Mount
Etna.
Rooms: Today
the town is an exclusive residential area outside the city
of Catania, 230 metre above sea level. Ramo Fiorito is a
1970s villa in typical Mediterranean style, white exterior
with flowered balconies and entirely surrounded by a green
garden where the guests can enjoy a pleasant relaxing time
and an unforgettable holiday.
Services:
The hosts, Rossella and Giovanni are both doctors with a
passion for sailing. They own a 12 metre sailing boat
anchored at the port of Catania that guests are welcomed
to board under request for a special day along the Ionian
coast.
Cuisine experts will advise or arrange meals in famous
fish restaurants on the coast or in typical trattorias in
the towns around Etna where you can try our typical rabbit
or pork with mushrooms.
Children under two are welcomed free of charge. Guests can
be picked up under request from Catania airport, port or
railway station. Guests will be provided with any useful
information about means of transport, theatres, museums,
live performances, pubs, bars and whatever is on in
Catania.
Guides and tours around Catania historical centre, the
fish market , Verga's house , the Roman anphitheater , the
typical markets , antique market , the Sicilian embroidery
and pottery market and the famous Catania nightlife.
Guests can also use the hosts' means of transport to visit
Sicily's ' open air museum ' (Syracuse, Taormina, Noto,
Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Agrigento, Morgantina, etc.)
and to go on daily expeditions up Mount Etna with stops at
prestigious vineyards for wine
testing.
Breakfast: Guests will be
served continental breakfast together with Sicilian
specialities.
