Ricavata da un convento dei Padri Carmelitani Scalzi della fine del secolo XIV ed è posta a poche centinaia di metri dal Duomo di Siena e da Piazza del Campo. Il convento del Carmine esisteva già al tempo di Dante ed è posto in Via della Diana, dea della caccia nella mitologia greco – romana. Secondo un’antica tradizione senese la Dea dava il nome al mitico ed impetuoso fiume che doveva scorrere nel sottosuolo di Siena. Adiacente al convento c’è la Chiesa di San Niccolò del XIII sec con affreschi dell’inizio del ‘400 e quadri di importanti artisti quali il Beccafumi ed il Manetti.Il Chiostro del Carmine è una casa per ferie ricavata in una dimora d’epoca, progettata e realizzata con particolare attenzione rivolta al mondo dell’alta formazione e della congressistica universitaria.

It has been meticulously restored from a XIV century Carmelite Monastery. It is situated a few hundred metres from the Siena Cathedral and from Piazza del Campo. The Monastery flourished even before Dante's time, and stands in Via della Diana. There is an ancient Sienese tradition that the goddess of hunting in the Greek-roman mythology gave her name here to the font of a mythical, impetuous, river that ran underground through Siena. Next to the monastery is the San Niccolò Church dated back to the XIII Century with XV Century. Hanging here are important frescoes and paintings from Beccafumi and Manetti. The restoration has been specifically designed and carried out to the highest standards, to meet the requirements of International, high level, University and Business Conferences. The excellent functionality of space and services is much remarked and appreciated.
