L’albergo prende il nome dalle rovine di una vicina villa Pompeiana, detta “dei misteri” dove si ritiene venissero celebrati riti di iniziazione al culto dionisiaco ("misterya").

L’hotel, dista soli 200 metri dall’ingresso degli scavi archeologici ed è anche molto vicino alla stazione ferroviaria Circumvesuviana (150m) e al casello autostradale di Pompei (400m).

All’interno ci sono ampi spazi per il parcheggio di auto e bus, una piscina a forma di anfora con annesso solarium, un ristorante, un bar, aeree verdi, e una confortevole saletta riunioni. Le camere sono 33, tutte con bagno privato.

Il carattere familiare della conduzione e l'ambiente semplice ed informale risulta particolarmente gradito ad archeologi, a gruppi universitari di studi classici e più in generale a chi desidera visitare Pompei e i suoi dintorni stando fuori dal traffico cittadino, certo che a fine giornata potrà concedersi momenti di relax a bordo piscina, o sul terrazzo del ristorante “Villa dei Misteri”.

Le camere sono allestite tutte come matrimoniali. Su richiesta del cliente è possibile aggiungere un terzo letto (di dimensioni standard) o anche scindere il letto matrimoniale in due letti separati.

Ciascuna camera dispone di un proprio ingressino che si interpone fra la camera da letto e la stanza da bagno privata.

L’arredamento è costituito da un piccolo scrittoio, due sedie, un carrello portavaligia, un armadio e due comodini.

Solo un numero limitato di camere dispone dell’impianto di aria condizionata. Per questo, se si desidera questo servizio, occorre indicarlo all’atto della prenotazione e tener conto che, per le camere dotate di aria condizionata è previsto un piccolo supplemento di prezzo.

L’albergo dispone inoltre di due camere specificamente attrezzate per le persone che avessero problemi di ridotta capacità motoria e sensoriale. Peraltro le caratteristiche architettoniche dell’albergo consentono di recarsi in tutti gli altri ambienti d’uso comune attraverso rampe e raccordi privi di scalini.

L'hotel è dotato di ristorante aperto per pranzo dalle 12:30 alle 14:30
per cena dalle 19:30 alle 22:30.
D'estate è offerta la possibilità di cenare su una terrazza coperta che circonda la piscina.

The hotel takes its name from the ruins of an ancient Pompeian villa located on the same street. The villa is known for a fresco portraying the initiation rites (or "mysteries") of the Dionysian cult.

The hotel's relaxed family atmosphere has made it especially popular among archaeologists and architecture schools visiting Pompei. It is also perfect for anyone who wants to visit the area away from the city traffic within easy reach of major transportation points.

There are 33 rooms available, all with private baths. The rooms come with two beds, and a third can be added upon request. Half of the rooms are located in the main building. The others are located around the swimming pool in the centre of the hotel complex.

    
The pool is in the shape of a classic vase and is 25 meters (83 feet) long. A long sun deck stretches above the pool. During the summer, part of the sun deck is used by the restaurant for outdoor dining.

A small meeting room, seating up to 40 people, can be used to gather before visiting the archaeological Pompeian digs or as a classroom.

The rooms are all set up as doubles. Upon guest request, we may either add an extra single bed ( thus making the room triple) or splitting the double bed into two twin beds. The single rooms are, in fact, doubles to be used as singles rooms.

Each room has a entrance box room interposed between the bedroom and the bathroom.

The furniture is very simple and consists of a little writing desk, two chairs, a bag support, a cupboard and two night tables.

Only a few of our rooms have the air conditioning device installed. That is why who wish to reserve a room with air conditioning has to specify this need at reservation time and take note that, for the rooms with air conditioning, a little extra charge is applied.

Some of our rooms are especially designed for people who have reduced motorial or sensorial ability. Besides the restaurant, the swimming pool and all themain parts of the hotel are easily reachable by means of slopes for wheel-chairs.

The restaurant is situated on the  first floor of the external building, but during the summer, the service is offered on a terrace that surrounds the pool. The service is mainly directed to the hotel guests. External groups (not hotel guests) are accepted on reservation.
Our restaurant “Villa dei Misteri” is available for lunch from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and for dinner from 7:30 to 22:30 p.m.  Cookery is typical of Mediterranean tradition.
