Location: Rome is a beautiful
city steeped in history. The Hotel de Russie is located in
the heart of the city between the Spanish Steps and Piazza
del Popolo and is within easy walking distance of the key
sights, fashion houses and Via Condotti.
Rooms:
Hanging on the walls of the rooms there are none of the
usual reproductions of period prints typical of Grand
Hotels (in Rome as elsewhere), but only "genuine" signed
photography (in itself a genre made to be reproduced) with
large colour photographs of flowers by the great
photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. The walls, which are
deliberately just painted, are all in very delicate and
restful pastel hues, as is the upholstery. There are
various types of bathroom, but they are all in marble or
marble mosaic. The bathroom designs range from the
classical to the contemporary, but in all cases the most
classical materials are used.
Studio Room (17) - These can be Twin or King Bed. All
Studio Rooms offer a City View and some a view of Piazza
del Popolo. They are composed of a bedroom with a sitting
area. All Studio Rooms have air-conditioning, computer
outlets, voice mail, two telephone lines, mini bar, safety
box, satellite television, hairdryer and writing desk. The
size is about 45 sq m
Deluxe Double/Twin Rooms (25) - These can be Twin or
King Bed. All Deluxe Double/Twin Rooms have air-
conditioning, computer outlets, voice mail, two telephone
lines, mini bar, safety box, satellite television,
hairdryer and writing desk. The size is about 40 sq
m.
Executive Double/Twin Room (9) - These can be Twin or
Queen Bed. All Executive Double/Twin Rooms have air-
conditioning, computer outlets, voice mail, two telephone
lines, mini bar, safety box, satellite television,
hairdryer and writing desk. The size is about 35 sq
m
Classic Double/Twin Room (21) - These can be Twin or
Queen Bed. All Classic Double/Twin Rooms have air-
conditioning, computer outlets, voice mail, two telephone
lines, mini bar, safety box, satellite television,
hairdryer and writing desk. The size is about 30 sq m.
Executive Single Room (17) - These have a Queen Bed.
All Executive Single Rooms have air-conditioning, computer
outlets, voice mail, two telephone lines, mini bar, safety
box, satellite television, hairdryer and writing desk. The
size is about 30 sq m
Classic Single Room (5) - These have a French Bed
(single bed) which is a four-poster. All Classic Single
Rooms have air-conditioning, computer outlets, voice mail,
two telephone lines, mini bar, safety box, satellite
television, hairdryer and writing desk. The size is about
23 sq m
Suites:
Hotel de Russie boasts six luxurious suite types, all of
which are extremely spacious and offer stunning views of
the city and the gardens at the hotel.
Le Jardin du Russie
: As with all Rocco Forte Hotels, the Hotel de
Russie focuses on delivering good food in a great
atmosphere which attracts both our hotel guests and the
local community, rather than simply being seen as an
extension of the hotel.
The most stunning feature of the hotel is its extensive,
terraced gardens. Our guests will be able to enjoy a
gentle
stroll in the gardens or fine al fresco dining in a
tranquil oasis amidst the bustle of central Rome. The
restaurant also presents fantastic opportunities for
indoor
and open air receptions.
The gourmet Mediterranean cuisine will delight our guests.
In keeping with our objectives to pick only the best chefs
to work for us, we appointed celebrated chef Nazzareno
Menghini. He places emphasis on using local produce and
the
very best Italian ingredients to produce a sumptuous menu.
The Stravinskij
Bar: The Stravinskij Bar has an extensive
selection of refreshments and Roman delicacies if you
would
prefer something lighter.
For lunch we offer a delicious buffet whereby you can eat
in the sunshine; in the afternoon traditional tea is
served
or for the evening, why not savour one of our extensive
Martini cocktails like the 'De Russie Martini' served with
caviar, whilst enjoying our live music in the Russie
gardens.
