Dove siamo:
The Gennarini family have run Hotel Alessandra since 1970. The hotel is on the second floor of a palace built in 1507 by Baccio D'Agnolo, a pupil of Michelangelo. Those who come to visit, will find a quiet and hospitable atmosphere. Located in the heart of the most romantic part of Florence next to the Uffizi Gallery and a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio, it is within easy walking distance to every point of artistic, cultural and economic interest.Since you will probably arrive in Florence by the motorway, we recommend you take the exit called Firenze Certosa because it is the most direct and easy route to reach the hotel. When you are at the exit of the motorway follow directions through Firenze Centro until a big square (Porta Romana) with an unusual modern statue in the middle (you will recognise this square because there is an old city wall on the side). At this point take the following streets: Via Romana, Via Maggio, across Ponte Santa Trinita (Bridge over the Arno), turn right in Lungarno Acciaiuoli until a few meters before the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). Turn left immediately after the Alitalia Office (beyond that all the area is pedestrian), then turn left again in Borgo Santi Apostoli and you are there.
