Situato a 45 km da Cuneo, tra le montagne delle Alpi Marittime nel centro del paese di Bagni di Vinadio e a 150 m circa dallo stabilimento termale e a poca distanza dalle piste da sci di fondo, l’albergo “Chalet dell’Ischiator” ha una posizione tranquilla e soleggiata. Costruito a chalet di montagna, riserva alla clientela un ambiente rustico, caldo e accogliente.
Dispone di 20 camere, 36 posti letto, ristorante con 90 posti a tavola, pizzeria con forno a legna, bar tabacchi giornali, ampio solarium e parcheggio privato.
L’hotel e’ a conduzione familiare e garantisce un ottimo trattamento di ristorazione con piatti tipici della cucina occitana. Aperto tutto l’anno.

Camere: Arredate di recente in stile occitano provenzale, le camere sono tutte dotate di televisione, vista panoramica, riscaldamento e sevizi privati con doccia e asciugacapelli a richiesta.
La maggior parte di esse dispongono anche di balcone o terrazza.
Le stanze sono a disposizione per clienti singoli, coppie, famiglie con bimbi o gruppi.

Ristorante: l ristorante, con la sua cucina casalinga si adatta alle esigenze della clientela e mette a disposizione tutte le domeniche ed i giorni festivi o su ordinazione menu di degustazione piatti tipici occitani e della valle. Un discorso a parte meritano anche le genuine pizze cotte nel forno a legna che attirano numerosi amanti del genere.
Il forno a legna viene usato anche nella preparazione di molte squisite specialità culinarie come la ben nota minestra di fagioli nell’”ula” ed altri piatti caratteristici e numerosi dolci.

Bagni di Vinadio e’ una borgata graziosa della Valle Stura situata a 1300 m di altitudine in una posizione molto soleggiata ai piedi dei valloni di Bravaria, San Bernolfo, Corborant ed Ischiator, per cui rappresenta la base ideale per una serie di magnifiche escursioni.
Molto conosciuta sin dall’antichità’ la sua sorgente d’acqua solforosa che sgorga dalla roccia della montagna a temperature fino a 70° che viene usata da uno stabilimento termale di cui hanno usufruito molti personaggi famosi già nel passato, tra questi Vittorio Amedeo di Savoia e il conte Cavour.
Poco più sù di Bagni, nel vallone dell’Ischiator, sgorga la sorgente dell’acqua minerale Sant’Anna di Vinadio.

Rooms:  Recently refurnished in Provencal style, all rooms offer a panoramic view and are equipped with TV, heat, private bath with shower, and, upon request, hairdryer.

Most rooms have a balcony or terrace and are available for singles, couples, families with children, or groups.

Restaurant: The restaurant’s home-style cooking caters to all its customers’ needs. On Sundays, during the holidays, or upon request, it provides a tasting menu of typical regional dishes.
Guests and local residents alike particularly enjoy traditional pizza cooked in the wood-burning oven that is also used to prepare a variety of delicious culinary specialties such as the famous terracotta pot beans soup as well as other characteristic dishes and desserts.

Bagni di Vinadio, elevation 1300 m, is a quaint village in the Stura Valley. Its location at the foot of Bravaria, San Bernolfo, Corborant, and Ischiator valleys makes it an ideal starting point for several wonderful excursions. The region was formed when an ancient alpine lake was filled by centuries of flood deposits leaving a plain surrounded by rocky mountains. The hot sulfur spring that gushes 70° C water from the mountain rock has been very famous since ancient times. The spa has hosted many notable historical figures such as Vittorio Amedeo of Savoy and Count Cavour. In the San Bernolfo valley not too far from Strepeis, you can find abandoned ancient Roman silver mines that were used up until the 19th century. A little further away from Bagni, flows the Sant’Anna di Vinadio mineral water spring.
