Hotel Commercianti, già sede dell'antica "Domus" del Comune di Bologna nel secolo XII, è situato in una tranquilla via che fiancheggia la Basilica di San Petronio nella zona pedonale e centralissima di Piazza Maggiore. I recenti restauri hanno riportato alla luce le originali strutture lignee che ora si possono ammirare nella hall e nelle camere ricavate nell'antica torre.
Nonostante i lunghi secoli di storia dell'edificio, l'atmosfera è ridente e tutto è stato rinnovato all'insegna della funzionalità. Eccezionale è la vista su Piazza Maggiore e sulle vetrate gotiche della Cattedrale.

Hotel Commercianti "The Merchants Hotel" - the first seat of town Hall in the XII century - is situated in a quiet street flanked by the Basilica of San Petronio in the very central pedestrian area adjoining Piazza Maggiore. During its latest restoration the original medieval wooden structures have been brought to life and now you can admire them in the hall, in most guest rooms and particularly in those remodelled from the ancient tower.
In spite of the building antiquity, there is a pleasant atmosphere and the whole hotel has been decorated and functionally restyled. Exceptional is the sight you can enjoy from small balconies and terraces looking into the glass windows of the Gothic Cathedral and the side view of Piazza Maggiore.
