Da molti anni un turismo intelligente e raffinato ha scoperto nel Chianti un mondo ancora legato alle antiche tradizioni rurali, ricco di memorie e di valori, nella cornice suggestiva dei paesaggi che mutano ad ogni stagione.

E' in questa terra che nasce "Villa Le Barone" dimora, fin dal sedicesimo secolo, della famosa famiglia Della Robbia, fra le solide mura di un'antica casa padronale, per accogliere quei villeggianti che cercavano in quei luoghi la serenità e il fascino più autentico della campagna.

Adesso è stata completamente rimodernata pur rimanendo intatto il carattere di una vecchia casa privata, con i mobili, i quadri, i libri e le romantiche piccole cose di una volta.


Ubicazione: Situata in una amena posizione a 500 metri di altitudine, in una bella collina nella zona del "Chianti", la regione più suggestiva d'Italia, a metà strada tra Firenze e Siena, posto ideale per chi desidera tranquillità e riposo, è circondata da un grande giardino all'italiana con piscina e campo da tennis e tutto intorno crescono alberi di olivi e viti.

Le camere, dislocate nelle varie case (la villa padronale, la fattoria, il fienile e la capanna) che facevano parte dell'intero complesso della "Fattoria delle Barone", sono tutte con bagno o doccia e tutte diverse nell'arredamento.

Nel ristorante che si trova in un altro edificio, precedentemente adibito a "tinaia", si servono piatti della cucina tradizionale italiana.

La prima colazione viene servita nella saletta della "Villa", ma se il tempo lo permette si può avere in giardino.

Durante il giorno si possono organizzare visite nelle fattorie vicine dove è possibile assaggiare alcuni dei migliori vini del "Chianti Classico".


Le Camere: Le camere, più grandi e più piccole, sono dislocate nelle varie dependance e nella Villa principale.
Sono dotate di telefono, bagno privato con vasca o doccia e asciugacapelli.

Ognuna è decorata e arredata in modo diverso con raffinata eleganza, pavimenti in cotto, travi al soffitto, mobilia di pregio e tappezzerie dai caldi colori.

Gli ospiti al loro arrivo potranno trovare fiori del giardino o un cestino di frutta fresca a seconda della stagione.


La Ristorazione: La prima colazione è servita nella saletta della Villa principale e quando il tempo lo permette nel giardino fra le 8,00 e le 10,00 del mattino. Gli ospiti possono scegliere fra un caffè con latte, tea o cioccolata calda serviti con un cestino di pane, dolce fatto in casa, burro, marmellate assortite e miele e anche servirsi al piccolo buffet per alcuni prodotti supplementari quali succo di arancia o pompelmo, corn- flakes, muesli croccanti o con frutta, yogurth. Mentre con supplemento si possono avere spremute, uova bollite, strapazzate o al prosciutto, formaggio, affettati e frutta fresca.

La cena è servita in un altro edificio, detto la "tinaia", a partire dalle ore 19,30 fino alle 21,00. Si comincia servendosi al buffet per l'antipasto per poi proseguire con una scelta fra tre primi e tre secondi piatti che cambiano ogni sera. Si può terminare con formaggio, frutta oppure il dessert, il tutto accompagnato da pregiati vini del "Chianti Classico".


Durante il giorno e la sera a disposizione degli ospiti ci sono dei piccoli salotti sia nella villa padronale che in una delle dependance con antichi caminetti per riscaldare le serate più fredde.


Sport: Per i più atletici il campo da tennis in erba sintetica, ping pong (racchette e palline a disposizione per i clienti) o la piscina entrambi con una suggestiva vista sulle colline del Chianti.

Many years ago an intelligent upmarket tourism discovered a part of the Chianti region still very close to old rural traditions, full of memories and values, in the most beautiful countryside that changes throughout the seasons.

"Villa Le Barone" is located in that very area, residence of the famous Della Robbia family since the 16th century, among the solid walls of an antique manor house accommodating those travellers who came here looking for tranquillity and the fascinating authenticity of the countryside.

In the meantime it has been completely renovated maintaining the character of an old private house with its furniture, paintings, books and romantic small items of the past.


Location: In a splendid position at 500 m height "Villa Le Barone" is situated on a beautiful hill in the heart of the Chianti region which is the most enchanting part of Italy.
Right between Florence and Siena the hotel is an ideal location for those who love quietness and relax, in a huge Italian garden with pool and tennis court surrounded by olive trees and vines.


The rooms are in different houses (manor house, estate, barn, shed) which all belonged to the entire property of the "Barone estate". They all have private facilities - either bath or shower - and are very individually furnished.

The restaurant is situated in an adjacent building formerly used as wine-cellar.
Here traditional Italian meals are served.

You can have breakfast either in the Villa or on the terrace outside when the weather is fine.

Visits to wineries nearby and tastings of some of the best Chianti Classico wines can be organised during your stay.


The Rooms: Double bedrooms in the various cottages and in the main Villa, have telephone and bathrooms with bath or hip-bath or shower and hairdryer.

The bedrooms are beguilingly individual, whether they are in the main villa or in the converted stables or cottages and are charmingly old and countrified rather than blandly pristine.

There are rafters and beams, prints on the walls, books on the shelves, fresh flowers or fresh season fruit in every room, pretty fabrics, gloriously uneven old terracotta floors and a host of delightful features - as well as en suite bathrooms.


Restaurant Service: Continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room or on the terrace or in the main Villa.
Guests may also serve themselves with additional items such as cereals, fruit juice and cheese, from a small buffet table.

Dinner is a four course meal with a choice of menu.

Lunch and Snack are also available.


Writing, Reading and Drawing rooms: and for the less athletic there is a writing and reading room and a drawing room, which is both elegant and homely.


Sport: Swimming pool: 12m x 9m, 1-3 m deep, open mid April end September.

Tennis court: For the active there is a tennis court, there is no charge to guests for the use of the tennis court, rackets and balls.

Tennis table: free of charge.

Trekking: As well as magnificent walking country all around.
