PERGUSA: Il lago di Pergusa è posto tra un
gruppo di alture appartenenti ai monti Erei, che cingono
quasi interamente la conca di forma subellittica che
accoglie l'invaso. Le acque, che sono salmastre pur non
avendo collegamenti con il mare, si raccolgono al centro
della conca, ad un livello oscillante attorno i 670 metri
sul livello del mare. Queste peculiarità rendono l'ambiente
pergusino di estrema rilevanza naturalistica, quasi un
unicum nel suo genere.

PERGUSA
LAKE: Lake Pergusa is set between a group of
mountains belonging to the chain of the Erei, which almost
entirely gird the shell with a sub-elliptic shape
containing the lake.
At the centre of the shell, at about 670 metres above sea
level there are collected the waters, which are brackish,
although there is no link with the sea. These peculiarities
render the Pergusa environment very interesting in terms of
nature, something almost unique in its kind.
