L'Hotel Claila offre ospitalità e comfort in un ambiemte storico esclusivo e condotto a livello famigliare.
La Storia: Tutto comincia nell'anno 1863, con l'arrivo della ferrovia a Francavilla al Mare. In questi anni venne costruito il palazzo (attuale Hotel Claila) a scopo commerciale e turistico nel quartiere della marina con al centro il palazzo Sirena e intorno ricche ville in stile neoclassico e liberty, trasformando Francavilla in un noto centro balneare. Durante la 2° guerra mondiale, tutto il paese venne raso al suolo. Si salvarono pochissime costruzioni storiche, fra cui il convento di Santa Maria del Gesù "Cenacolo dell'artista Francesco Paolo Michetti" in collina e il Palazzo Turchi (attuale Hotel Claila) nella Marina. Questi due edifici storici saranno vincolati dal Ministero dei Beni Architettonici per il carattere storico-monumentale che rivestono.
La famiglia Macerelli, operatore del settore, ha acquistato il Palazzo Turchi ed ha creduto al suo recupero. Ha ripristinato la funzione originaria, restaurando e trasformando l'immobile in un hotel esclusivo.

History: Everything started in 1863, with the advent of the railway in Francavilla al Mare. It was during those years that the mansion, which now houses the Claila Hotel, was wuilt, for commercial and tourism purposes. It was located in the marina district, in the centre rich villas built in neoclassic and liberty style. Francavilla al Mare was thus transformed into a renowned sea-side resort. During the second World war the whole town was razed to the ground. Only a few historical buildings were saved, including the Convent of Santa Maria del Gesù, "Cenacolo dell'artista Francesco Paolo Michetti", on the hills, and Palazzo Turchi (the actual Hotel Claila) on the marina. These two historical buildings were bound by the Ministry of the Architectonic Assets because of their monumental and historical character.
After 50 years of neglect the Macerelli family has acquired Palazzo Turchi. Believed in its original functions, they have refurbisched the mansion, converting it in exclusive hotel.
