La Storia: Palazzo Confalone è una dimora del XII secolo, tipico esempio di quella architettura frammentaria, ricca di influenze arabo- orientali, sviluppatasi nell'area meridionale ed in particolare nella vicina Amalfi.


La Struttura: L'edificio, ricco di testimonianze del passato, si articola su cinque livelli dal giardino alle camere più alte in un susseguirsi di corridoi, volte, nicchie, passaggi, che creano spazi imprevedibili e suggestivi molto diverse dalle fredde geometrie di certa architettura moderna.


La Natura: Il giardino rigoglioso di agrumi e rose, le camere, il ristorante all'aperto, il solarium, si aprono sul golfo di Salerno, sulle amene località della Costa Amalfitana e i versanti rupestri e boschivi dei Monti Lattari, inondandosi del sole e del clima dolcissimo di Ravello.

Each of the rooms has all modern conveniences, and each as an individual character with the appropriate furnishings. Instead of the commonplace numbers, each room has it's own name.


The History: Palazzo Confalone is a 12th century palace typical example of a variegated architectural style which, owing much to Arab and Oriental influences, has developed in the Mediterranean and particularly in the area round Amalfi.

The Structure: From the garden to the uppermost rooms, the historic building is divided into five levels by a succession of the passages, corridors, niches and vaultswhich open up unexpected and charming perspectives so unlike the severe geometric aspects of some modern architecture.


The Nature: From the garden with it's luxuriant vegetation of roses and orange and lemon trees, from the hotel rooms, from the open-air restaurant and the solarium, the view carries out over the gulf of Salerno, traversing the graceful coastal resorts of Amalfi and the rochy, wooded slopes of the lattari Mountains, flooded with the sun and sheltered in the mild climate of Ravello.
