L'albergo MAMMA ROSA viene aperto al pubblico il 10 Gennaio 1966, un modestissimo locale esclusivamente punto di riferimento per escursionisti frequentatori della montagna dell'epoca. Nel corso degli anni successivi, in seguito allo sviluppo anche invernale della zona, il locale é stato progressivamente ampliato ed adattato alle esigenze, ed ancora oggi é in via di trasformazione per affrontare in maniera adeguata il continuo mutamento di richiesta turistica.

Posizione: L'albergo MAMMA ROSA é situato a 1620 metri s.l.m. alle pendici della cima Majelletta, nel Comune di Pretoro (CH), nel Parco Nazionale della Majella, in uno splendido paesaggio tranquillo e riposante e con una eccezionale veduta sulla costa Adriatica, che in alcune circostanze climatiche con assenza di foschia va ben oltre il mare Adriatico, fino ad intravedere ad occhio nudo le isole dell'arcipelago dell' ex Yugoslavia.

Zona di ampie escursioni estive per tutti i livelli di preparazione, senza pericoli nelle scalate, é anche stazione sciistica invernale che assicura un innevamento costante di neve naturale per un lungo periodo di ben 5 mesi che va dalla fine di Novembre alla fine di Aprile.

Albergo MAMMAROSA opened for the first time in January 1966. It was a very modest premises, used mainly as a meeting venue for excursionists during the summer. Thanks to the development of the winter sports industry in this area and to the consistent innovation on the part of the owner, the hotel is now a modern resort providing all comforts for skiers and lovers of the mountains in general.

Position: The Hotel is within the National Park of Maiella, at 1.620 mt. with a stunning view. It is actually possible to see the Adriatic Sea and, when it is perfectly clear, it is also possible to see the coast of the former Yugoslavia.

The area is fantastic for great walking tours or days outing, both for beginners and experts and there is also a great and modern winter ski resort.
The skiing season lasts on average 5 months, from the end of November to the end of April.
