La Storia: Costruito attorno al 1904 su progetto dell'architetto Enrico Shafer, l'Hotel Savoy vanta una storia quasi secolare: dopo il magistrale ampliamento del 1913 compiuto dall'ingegnere Zawar, l'albergo divenne l'emblema di Gardone e il polo d'attrazione di un'altolocata clientela internazionale, destinazione prediletta dei grandi personaggi d'epoca che, come Gabriele D'annunzio, Umberto di Savoia o Re Faruk, giungevano da ogni parte del mondo per godere dell'esclusiva atmosfera dell'hotel, di quel clima mite e di quella tranquillità difficili da ritrovare altrove. Il progetto di ristrutturazione ha inteso riproporre l'atmosfera di allora, mantenendo la caratteristica architettura ad arco stile liberty della facciata a lago e rispettando nei colori, nelle forme e nei materiali la storicità dell'edificio, All'interno marmi, pietre, legni pregiati e arredi richiamano lo stile floreale ed il periodo neoclassico.

History: Built around 1904 to a project by Architect Enrico Shafer, the Hotel Savoy boasts a history dating back almost a century. After being skilfully enlarged in 1913 by engineer Zawar, the hotel became the symbol of Gardone and a convention point for a high-class international clientele. Among its guests were famous figures of the period, including Gabriele D'Annunzio, Umberto of Savoia and King Faruk, who came from all over the world to enjoy the hotel's exclusive atmosphere, the mild climate of the area and the peace and quiet hard to find elsewhere. The aim of the renovation project was to recreate the atmosphere of that period, maintaining the characteristic art nouveau architecture of the façade facing onto the lake and respecting the building's history in terms of colours, shapes and materials. Inside the hotel, marble, stone and precious woods and furnishings recall the Art Nouveau style and the neoclassic period.
