Villa La Massa é una villa medicea rinascimentale. Fu fatta costruire nel XVI secolo dai nobili fiorentini Pecori-Giraldi che la tennero fino al 1850 circa. Lady Hombert ed il conte di Cumberland ne furono i proprietari fino al 1922. Nel 1948 fu trasformata in albergo. Alcuni fra i suoi illustri ospiti furono Clark Gable, Wiston Churchill, Elizabet Taylor e Richard Burton, Barbara Hutton e David Niven. L'Albergo ha in totale 34 camere, suddivise in 2 Singole, 22 Doppie, 3 Junior Suite e 7 Suites. Sono decorate nel calssico stile delle ville toscane e arredate con mobili d'epoca. Tutte le camere sono dotate di aria condizionata, televisione a colori con ricezione satellitare, minibar, asciugacapelli e telefono con linea diretta. Il "Verrocchio" é il ristorante principale situato nella "Villa Vecchia". Durante l'estate i pasti sono serviti sulla Terrazza che si affaccia sul fiume Arno. Intorno alla Piscina é anche possibile un pranzo leggero con spuntini, snacks e insalate, dalle ore 12,30 alle ore 14,30. Le specialità del ristorante sono principalmente mediterranee e toscane.

Some of its fomous guests were Clark Gable, Wiston Churchill, Elizabet Taylor e Richard Burton, Barbara Hutton e David Niven. Recently David Bowie and Iman rented the entire villa for their wedding. There are 34 guest rooms, consisting of 2 Singles, 22 Doubles/Twins, 3 Junior Suites and 7 Suites. All rooms feature antique furniture and are decorated in the classic Tuscan Villa style. Air-conditioning, colour Satellite TV, minibar, hair-dryer and direct dial phone. "Verrocchio" is the hotel main restaurant located in the "Villa Vecchia", the oldest part of the house. During the summer season, meals are also served on the lovely terrace overlooking river Arno. In summer, light meals, salads and snacks are served at luchtime at the "Pool Bar" .
